Easter Sunday

We have purposely planned this on Easter Sunday to coincide with the bank holidays to allow people to attend without needing to take extra time off work.

However, transport and accommodation options will be busier than usual – be sure you book early to avoid disappointment.

 

SCHEDULE

  • Please aim to be at the venue by 12:30 PM to take your seat at the Ceremony.

  • The ceremony will start at 1pm sharp, at Holmes Mill, Clitheroe.

  • As the venue transforms for the room for reception and as the couple go for photographs, there will be a Happy Hour in the Hotel Reception.

  • Reception will begin with speeches from the bridal party & family.

  • It’s an early meal to line your stomach for a night of celebrations.

    As part of your RSVP, please indicate any dietary requirements or allergies you have.

    We will send you a menu via email to select your meal choice closer to the time.

  • We will have the room transformed again after our meal to continue the celebrations into the evening.

  • The night do will commence from 7:30pm, complete with a DJ, Cake & Cheese!

    Supper will be served during the night do.

  • We will begin to wrap up the celebration at 11:30PM with last orders at the bar.

  • Guests will be asked to leave the venue at Midnight.

TRANSPORT

  • Accrington to Clitheroe is a 20 minute taxi drive.

    Alternatively, you can get the Number 15 bus from Accrington Bus Station, which runs hourly and takes 45 minutes.

  • Blackburn to Clitheroe is a 30 minute taxi drive.

    Alternatively, you can get the train from Blackburn Train station, which runs hourly and takes 25 minutes.

    Holmes Mill is a 10 min walk from Clitheroe Train Station.

  • Manchester to Clitheroe is a 1 hour drive.

    Alternatively, you can get the train from Manchester Victoria Station, which runs hourly and takes 1 hour 15 minutes.

    Holmes Mill is a 15 minute walk from Clitheroe Train Station.

  • London to Clitheroe is a 4.5 – 5 hour drive.

    If you wish to catch the train, you can connect at Preston or Manchester – changing to get the train onwards to Clitheroe. The journey takes roughly 3.5 hours, depending on your route.

    Holmes Mill is a 15 minute walk from Clitheroe Train Station.

    We will send an email with menu and food choices closer to the time.

  • Yes – but it won’t be an open bar.

    We will provide a selection of drinks for everyone enjoy at the happy hour, and there will be wine on the table to accompany the meal.

    Non-alcoholic options will also be available throughout the evening.

    The bar will be open to purchase any further alcoholic refreshments you may want.

  • Your presence is our present.

    There will be a ‘Wishing Well’ if you wish to provide a card.

  • We love your children, but we would like to keep the celebration an adult only occasion so that everyone can relax and let their hair down.

  • Yes! Of course.

    Please provide this information even if Holly is already aware of them.

  • No – you definitely do not!

    We are opening the invite to both celebrations to everyone.

    However, we definitely do not expect everyone to come to both.

    Come along to which ever celebration is easy for you – or come to both if you want an excuse to travel abroad!

  • Please RSVP by 01 November 2025.

    This is very important so we can finish organising numbers, plans and costs.

    We’ve got a lot to do, so we don’t have time to chase you for an answer – if you do not RSVP by the deadline, we will assume the answer is ‘No’.
